General Information and Claims
The Ghostbed comes in a total of six sizes. The dimensions, weight, and price of each size are given below:
If ordered through Amazon, you get a 100-night free trial on this bed, along with a warranty that lasts 20 years.
The mattress has a total of three layers:
The top-most layer is made of aerated latex foam
The Second Layer is a gel-memory foam
And the Third layer is high-density base foam.
The mattress has a cooling feel because the gel foam in the second layer cools the latex foam considerably because it is aerated. Both layers are supported by the high-density base foam.
The Ghostbed comes with a removable cover which can be washed easily.
Ghostbed Mattress Reviews
The Ghostbed mattress comes in a vacuum sealed package.
When opened and used first, you may notice it is quite firm. Do not be too alerted since it gets considerably softer when you break into it after a couple of uses.
If it is still too firm for you, you can order the Ghostbed protector. The Ghostbed protector will make the bed softer and it will protect the mattress as well.
Keep in mind that the protector does not take advantage form the cooling effect of the mattress and you will probably sleep very warm if you live in a hot region.
The cooling system of the Ghostbed mattress is quite efficient. It does not function too well in areas that are very hot, though.
When you break into the Ghostbed mattress, you will realize that it tends to sink in the middle. This may prove to be a bane for many people but it is really not that uncomfortable.
If you have any orthopedic conditions, this mattress is not for you. Many elderly people have complained that they have woken up with shoulder and back pains in the morning when using this mattress.
Do not buy this mattress to relieve yourself of any preexisting pains either. It is mainly for people who want a universallycomfortable mattress.
The actual cover of the Ghostbed mattress is really what makes it comfortable. It is best to sleep with sheets and maybe a protector to keep the mattress cleanbut its cover will tempt you!
Even so, the mattress really is not very good for side-sleepers. Many Ghostbed reviews on Amazon which were written by side sleepers said that they ended up returning the mattress because it just wasn’t for them.
The Ghostbed mattress is not very good for overweight people. This is because the heavier you are, the more the Ghostbed mattress will sink and create pressure points.
For average weighted people, the Ghostbed mattress also has the ability of not creating any pressure points. So you will not wake up in any pain or feel any discomfort throughout the night.
Despite the initial firmness, the Ghostbed mattress gives great bounce. This is relieving for many people.
And what’s wonderful is that the Ghostbed mattress has almost no motion transfer despite the bounce.
Unfortunately, the Ghostbed mattress has no edge-support. You need to be really careful to not slide off the bed.
The Ghostbed prices around $795 for the Queen size, which makes it really good value for money.
Ghostbed Mattress Praises:

Ghostbed Vs. Leesa
The Leesaprices at $865 for the Queen size which makes it slightly more expensive than the Ghostbed mattress.
Whereas the Ghostbed has excellent cooling technology in its layers, the Leesa actually tends to get very hot. So the Ghostbed mattress is the clear winner if you live in a hot area.
The Leesa is actually a very firm mattress as well. That said, it is actually a tad softer than the Ghostbed mattress.
Like the Ghostbed mattress, the Leesa also has no edge support.
The Leesa is soft but tends to sink much less than the Ghostbed mattress. Therefore it is the better option for heavier people.
In the Leesa, like the Ghostbed mattress, there is hardly any motion transfer. Also like the Ghostbed, it is not very good for side sleepers.
Ghostbed Vs. Purple
The Purple mattress is $999 for the Queen size which makes it considerably more expensive than the Ghostbed mattress.
The Purple mattress is another disappointment for side sleepers, like the Ghostbed mattress.
Whereas the Ghostbed mattress is thick and aerated, the Purple mattress is actually very thin and dense.
It tends to sink a lot more than the Ghostbed, even though both regain their shape after you get up.
The Purple mattress has edge support, unlike the Ghostbed mattress.
There is also minimal motion transfer in the Purple mattress.
While the Ghostbed has a satisfying bounce quality, the Purple mattress is easily the least bouncy mattress we have ever come across.
Ghostbed Vs. Casper
The Casper mattress prices in at $950 for the Queen size, which makes it more expensive than the Ghostbed mattress.
The greatest complaint about the Casper mattress is that it causes motion transfer. So Ghostbed is the better option for sharing with a partner.
The Casper mattress is really good for orthopedic purposes. It successfully gets rid of a lot of back, neck and shoulder pain.
The Casper mattress also offers no edge support, like the Ghostbed mattress.
Neither mattress is good for side sleepers.
The Casper mattress, like the Ghostbed mattress, gives aconsiderable bounce, though.
Unfortunately, most people tend to sleep hot on the Casper mattress.
Ghostbed Vs. Tuft and Needle
The Tuft and Needle mattress cost $575, which makes it considerably cheaper than the Ghostbed.
The Tuft and Needle mattress does not offer any cooling. So you most likely sleep very warmly on it.
Even so, it offers more bounce and softness compared to the Ghostbed mattress.
The Tuft and Needle mattress also tends to sink in the middle but regains its shape after you leave it.
It offers no edge support, like the Ghostbed.
